When searching through the Web 2.0 Hotlist I found an old friend; www.wikispaces.com. This a a free wiki creation website for use in the classroom and other settings.
If you have never created a wiki before this a site I have found that is pretty easy to use. Students can work together, individually, or as a whole class to create their wiki on any topic. You may want to create a wiki to serve as your class website. The best part is that it is open to be edited by others and as a teacher you can make changes to student work anywhere you have internet access. The second best part is that it is free. Being free also means limitations, but I have used this site for small projects and have really liked it.

I had no idea you could find old friends on wikipages.com. I will have to try this when I have time to explore on the computer. I like that the site is free. So often you have to pay for this information. I also like that it is easy.
ReplyDeleteI remember watching you movie and podcast in my last computer class. I think it was on judging soils. I am glad to see that you are in this class too. I do have to ask you a question. How did you hide the information from that class so it does not show for this class? Thanks and nice job.
